Planning a Meet and Greet and other things

Howdy Cobolers!

We've jumped ranks the last couple of weeks as some folks from the OpenCobol project have joined us. Some of these folks are not local (and a few are from as far away as France and Italy). So it's time to get on track with our monthly meet and greets and treats, our weekly Add 1 to Cobol meetup and our training classes.

Because so many folks are remote, we'll be having a mixed environment meetups. that is some of it will be online and some in person. Those that are close to the Cleveland area are free to join us (for free) in person for any of our meetups. Those that are remote we plan to charge like ONE MILLION DOLLARS each to. No worries though, the Government is promising to drive the value of the USA Dollar to naught, so soon that will be like -18 cents. Which means we'll owe you if you come. Dunno how we're gonna pay but plans are in the works [grin].

So now for the first meet and greet I'd like to get some feedback on what is good for everyone, local and remote. The local folks should bring laptops if they have'em and we'll meet someplace with WIFI. That way we can include the remote folks. Up until now our weekly meeting had been on Sundays at 9am Eastern time (please see the world clock websites to verify what time that is in your time zone). This meeting time seemed to allow folks from as far away as Japan participate.

So what do yall think? Also what would be the best times for training and the regular weekly meeting (we understand not everyone needs to or will be attending all of these)?

Kind Regards
Aoirthoir
