Hello Everyone!
I sent out an email earlier tonight with the details of our Study Group. The first study group was set for Thursday the 8th of October. Laurel informed me that we had another meetup on that night so I moved our meetup/study group to Monday the 5th. The study group will include a series of intense classes and shared study, and exercises on Cobol. We'll be using OpenCobol as our compiler to test these. For those that don't have Linux available I'll help you set up Putty on your computers. Putty is a software program that will let you connect to a Linux system. In this case mine, and I'll set you up user accounts so you can test compile programs. As mentioned the study will be intense and move rapidly. So I need everyone to RSVP as SOON as humanly possible to each of the classes you intend to join. You should only skip classes in the most extreme of circumstances. And skipping more than two will set you very far behind. So please keep that in mind. For a complete list, here is the calendar for October and November: http://cobol.meetup.c... Stop in, RSVP and let's get the coboling, going. HOORAY! Aoirthoir The High Priest of Cobol. |
